TABRIZ Foreign tourists visiting Iran shows a 45 percent rise in the first quarter of the current year compared with that of corresponding period last year.
The deputy for Iran and World Tourism Organization Khosro-Abadi addressing a gathering of the organization's directors and experts in Tabriz on Thursday said proper advertising, introducing Iran's tourist attractions and facilitating visa formalities as well as increasing the catering facilities are among the factors behind the increase in the number of tourists visiting Iran.
He also said increasing the number of tourism offices in the country's ports of entry, as well as setting up tourism exhibitions overseas, are among the future programs of the organization.
